(near 7th Ave. and McDowell) Ticket Price: $45 For information call Gail 1-866-OPERA4U (1-866-673-7248) Carmen November 6th, 8th, 2009 Madama Butterfly February 12th, 14th, 2010 After a sellout performance in early July, music lovers are once again invited to join Phoenix Opera Executive Director John Massaro and Phoenix’s own Stars of Opera at an afternoon event, “Come Away With Me,” on Sunday, July 12th at 4:00 PM at My Florist Café & Bar in Phoenix. According to Phoenix Opera Co-Founder and Creative Director Gail Dubinbaum, attendees at the July event described the experience as “breathtaking” and says that the repeat performance is due to popular demand. Miss Dubinbaum points out, “My Florist is the perfect setting, with its beautiful stage, wonderful acoustics, and superb grand piano.” Guests will enjoy a scrumptious assortment of Mediterranean inspired entrees and decadent desserts in addition to two glasses of wine or a choice of soft beverages. A cash bar will also be available. During the festivities, Maestro Massaro will guide listeners through a tour of the world’s greatest music performed by a world-class ensemble of Phoenix opera singers. Massaro comments, “I can’t think of a nicer thing to do on a Sunday afternoon. It’s a way to do something cool in the heat of the summer.” Tickets are $45 per person.
