New orchestra seeks to demystify classical music

New symphony orchestras are born on the Gulf Coast with about the same low frequency as volcanic islands, so when a mainly twenty-something orchestra with Mobile connections held a premiere concert in New Orleans last Saturday, it was a seismic event. The group was the innovative New Resonance Orchestra, and the event was a multimedia performance of Aaron Copland's "Appalachian Spring."
